Farley cookies what a mess!

Sunday, October 18, 2009
Ariana had her first Farley cookie tonight. At first it was like hmmm, what is this. The first suck was like oohhh it has a taste. Then another lick and yup there is definitely a taste to this and after that it was in her mouth without hesitation. It didn't take long before the cookie was all over the place as I'm sure most of you parents know they are messy. It was all over the chair, all over her clothes and of course all over her as well. So when she was finished she had a bath in the "Big" tub for the first time, which of course was a big splash! She was having a ball splashing in the water and getting me wet too.

Thanksgiving weekend and independence

Wednesday, October 14, 2009
Wow what a busy weekend for Ariana. At Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday she started holding her sippy cup all by herself. Then on Monday with a little encouragement from Uncle Greg she started holding her bottle all by herself. Who would have known that if we just sit her in her chair and put the bottle in her lap that she would hold it all by herself. We had tried many times before to put her hands on the bottle to hold her bottle, but she was smart. She knew that we would hold it for her. So over the last few days she has been getting better at holding her bottle with a little help from mommy and daddy.

Also on Sunday she started clapping her hands for the very first time. At first it was very delicate and it could have almost been coincidence that her hands landed in the proper position, but before long you could tell she knew what she was doing and she is doing it a lot more now and sometimes you can even get her to do it by asking her although it's usually only whenever she feels like it.

1st Place

Sunday, September 27, 2009
Ariana won first place in the cutest baby contest yesterday at the Fall Fair in Huntsville. She won the judges over by holding out her hands for the two judges to hold and then dancing with them. She won $15, trophy, gold medal, ribbon, stuffed dog, a bib, and t-shirt. The pictures of all that she won are on facebook as well as all the other pictures from the fall fair.

Baptism

Sunday, July 12, 2009
Well Ariana was baptized today. Everything went perfectly and she didn't even fuss. She had a beautiful white dress with pink flower ribbons and a pink bow in her hair. Some of her pictures are in the photo album, so be sure to check those out if you haven't already seen them. She got lots of neat presents too. Her grandmother McKnight "Mo" paid for her picture to be taken at Wal-Mart and her grandmother Welch got her a beautiful silver cross to wear when she is older. Her Aunt Tonia and Uncle Jason got her a beginner's bible, and her Aunt Karen, Uncle Greg, and Jacob got her a beautiful frame to put her baptism picture in when it comes back from the photographer.

A great time was had by all and lots of people showed up to celebrate her baptism.

Rita McNeil

Monday, July 6, 2009
Today I was watching a Rita McNeil special on tv and I was dancing all over the place. I was sitting on daddy's lap kicking my legs and arms. He had to hold onto my tightly as I got really excited. It was as interesting when the guys were singing, but when she came on the stage I just couldn't control myself.

Another Doctor's Appointment

Thursday, January 15, 2009
Well yesterday I met the doctor and he is a really nice man. I had wanted to meet him much earlier, but work permitting I never had a chance until now. Tara had a doctor's appointment yesterday down in Orillia and I came along for the ride. The morning started off with an ultrasound that revealed that the baby was likely 8 1/2 pounds although the doctor said the ultrasound can be out a pound either up or down and he suspects the baby is bigger than the ultrasound technician told us. Tara was told to come back next week and at that time the doctor would give us a date of when the baby will be born. He suspect it will be the last week of January as originally told. Also more or less confirmed that it will be a planned c-section, which is not exactly what we wanted to hear, but in the long run it will be less pain for Tara than trying push a baby that is too big out the other way.
